Makuhari Beach Fireworks Festival
This is one of the largest fireworks festivals in the Kanto region, held every year in early August on the Makuhari seaside overlooking Tokyo Bay. Approximately 23,000 colorful fireworks are launched in perfect sync with the latest hit music to the 1/100th of a second, and the “Underwater Fireworks,” which bloom in a hemispherical shape from beneath the sea, brighten the night sky and sea surface. Narita Gion Festival
It is Narita’s largest traditional festival, held over three days in early July every year at Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and its Omotesando area. Boasting a history of over 300 years, 10 gorgeous floats and mikoshi, decorated with elaborate wood carvings and puppets, parade down the historic Omotesando street to the sounds of ohayashi music. The biggest highlight is the “all-out” event, in which the floats rush up the steep slope all at once, and the energetic shouts of the floats and the cheers of the audience fill the entire city with excitement. At night, countless lanterns are lit up on the floats, and you can enjoy a magical night of festival that will make you feel like you have traveled back in time to the Edo period.

YohaS night lotus
This is a modern night festival held every June at Chiba Park, featuring the Oga lotus, the symbol of Chiba City, which was excavated from a 2,000-year-old geological formation and bloomed. The lotus flower, which normally blooms at sunrise and closes in the afternoon, is popular for its innovative approach of creating a magical nighttime illumination, projection mapping, and art installation. Parent and child three generations summer festival
It is a lively, large-scale civic festival held in mid-August every year, centered around Chiba Central Park. As the name suggests, the biggest highlight of the festival is the Chiba Odori Festival, in which thousands of citizens, from infants to the elderly, fill the main streets of the city while performing the traditional Chiba Odori dance. A variety of dance performances will be held one after another, including the dynamic mikoshi and floats, the powerful Japanese drum performance, Japanese street dance, and yosakoi. This is an event where you can experience the energy of Japan’s united local communities.

Chiba Port Tower Christmas Fantasy
This is a romantic winter illumination event held at Chiba Port Tower from late November to Christmas on December 25th every year. A gigantic Christmas tree measuring 100m in height and 30m in width is depicted on the entire half-mirror glass of the tower using approximately 3,500 LED lights, beautifully coloring the winter night sky and the port scenery of Chiba Minato. The showtime where the lights change according to the music and the trees around the tower are beautifully lit up is the best winter event where you can warmly experience Japan’s sophisticated and romantic Christmas atmosphere and the winter night view.
